Hi there

I'm Rachel...born and raised in Arizona.  I've been hooked on photography since 1985...around the same time the Chicago Bears last won a Super Bowl (sigh).  My early inspirations are Ansel Adams, Annie Leibovitz and Diane Arbus.

Photography, for me, is very zen like.  I get lost (quite happily) in the details of life.  The origins of my subjects, animate or inanmiate, fascinate me.  I'm always surprised to discover new facets of everyday objects I carelessly neglect.  This all brings me to the ever existing present.  My curiosity is recharged; no longer moving through the motions.

Too deep?  Perhaps.  But nonetheless honest.
